My name is Nile - like The River - and I want to get real for a moment with you.  My dream growing up was to play college football and then move to New York City to become a TV Star. Simple, right?

The moment I graduated from Trinity College, I packed my bags and moved to Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn with two hundred dollars to my name just as the 2008 financial crisis began. In the worst job market in 30 years, and with no real connections in NYC or a real plan on how I could survive, let alone achieve my dream of making it to the big screen. It was in these early days that I found myself knocked off my small town pedestal and humbled by the sheer size of NYC, let alone the responsibility the real world demands. No longer was I a star athlete with all the perks, rather I was broke, hungry and lived on an air mattress in a damp basement apartment on Quincy Street.

During this dark period, I was told by my family and friends that I should come back to my home state, to get a real job and settle down. I knew I couldn't work a 9-5 and decided to take a risk and double down and I dedicated myself to developing tremendous mental strength by committing to being a lifelong learner. I devoured self help books and my Mom even gave me a bookmark that I brought with me when I moved to NYC and it read:

"Sometimes you just have to jump and build your wings on the way down."

That sentence connected with me and I made a commitment to put my "blinders on" and focus all of my energy on my dreams. I had a burn the boats mentality. The way I saw it there were only two options for my life: 1) Sink or 2) Swim and sinking just wasn't an option.

During this time, I learned the power of visualization and that started me on a powerful path of manifestation, yet I still experienced tremendous setbacks and adversity - I started multiple companies that failed, I nearly went bankrupt a half dozen times, battled upwards of $50K in credit card debt, had bouts with alcoholism, and fought off my family from convincing me to come back home. I’m a firm believer that life doesn’t happen to you, it happens FOR you and it was through these life challenges that I learned and grew the most as a person.

Since then it’s been a powerful journey for me - becoming the star of a BravoTV show, starring in top rated iTunes real estate podcast, co-founding a team of ten at a Billion dollar real estate firm, founding multiple companies, being appointed adjunct professor at Baruch College, consulting on Fortune 100 projects, and serving as a co-curator of a community building/connecting platform that’s received praise from USA Today, Forbes and Variety, among others.

It’s hard to fathom that I’ve grown from living in my buddy’s basement to starring in TV shows, speaking in front of millions of people, being a professor and being a celebrity broker in a billion dollar real-estate-tech firm by the age of 32. To a top producing at SERHANT. with over $300M+ in sales as a top producing agent, according to Real Trends.

I’m a firm believer that life is what you make of it and it's your responsibility to decide on what you want and commit to not stopping until you achieve it. This isn’t for everybody and by doing this, I found that it's not the destination that becomes alluring, it's the journey. It's about doing the little things on day by day basis that add up to you living your wildest dreams and expectations. And I've found that the best way to achieve this kind of joy is by sharing experiences, knowledge, ideas and connections with others.  Knowing what I know now, I feel it's my duty to share my unique experience so that I can inspire the next person to live a life filled with passion, success and joy.  

Today, I'm 39 and I'm on a mission to serve you by sharing my story so that I can inspire you to be the best version of yourself. I also want you to know that YOU are important and that your story matters and I am living proof that if you set your mind to something, commit yourself, you too, can achieve your dreams.
